Calder Vale Children’s Festival

Calder Vale Children’s Festival

Calder Vale Children’s festival is a traditional village festival, which is held on the second Saturday in June every year. It is a fun, family day….to which anyone is welcome. Organised by local people, who give their time voluntarily & who spend hours making costumes for the local children.

Calder Vale Children’s festival 2015 took place on Saturday 13th June.

Queen Caitlin was crowned by her Auntie, Gail Myerscough. Attendants were Scarlett Mason & Daisy & Olive Wrathall. The procession was led by mini-PC Stanley Pickard. We welcomed Pilling Jubilee Band and several visiting queens from surrounding villages.
The tableaux theme was “Noah’s Ark” so BEWARE…….there will be lots of wild animals in the village!
Following the procession, on the village green there were; refreshments , stalls, games, sports, raffle, duck race, fancy dress and a children’s entertainer, Thomas Bounce from Britain’s Got Talent!
Everyone is most welcome and we hope that the sun will shine!
