Scorton Baby and Toddler Group

Scorton has its fair share of little ones and is lucky enough to have its own well established, thriving play group.

The group is run by a volunteer staff member from Scorton School – parents/grandparents/relatives/childminders/carers etc etc, all are welcome! Despite its name, the group welcomes all under 5’s, from new born to pre-school.

We are able to use the whole hall and kitchen and have a well stocked selection of toys, games, craft materials and dressing up clothes as well as climbing frame and tricycles… it’s a great chance for both children and carers to let off steam, socialise and have fun!

The group runs every Thursday, from 10am to 12noon in the Village Hall, but people arrive whenever they can make it throughout the session. Drinks and snacks are generally brought out about 11am and we have sometimes have a teacher running a singing/storytime/dance session towards the end of each group. We hold occasional special events through the year, e.g. a Christmas Party, and we also join the Scorton Bikes and Barrows parade each year as the children love dressing up.
