Sunday services
We hold a number of regular Sunday morning services across the parish. All Saints and St John’s services are held at 10am and at St Peter’s they are held at 10.30am except for the first Sunday of the month when an evening service is held – see below.
There are a mixture of Eucharist and lay lead prayer and praise services at each church across the month, with at least one of our churches in the parish offering holy communion each Sunday. Please see our Facebook page for the latest information.
At Scorton and Calder Vale, these services are often screened using AV equipment whereas Barnacre prefer to use service booklets and hymn books.
There is always a service streamed from either Scorton or Calder Vale using Zoom each week for those unable to attend in person. Just contact us for the details if you would like to join us in this way.
5th Sundays
The 5th Sunday of any given month is a shared service across the parish and is hosted by each church alternately – please contact the United Parish office on contact@unitedparish.co.uk for more information.
Evening worship
On the first Sunday of the month St. Peter’s Church now holds an evening worship service at 6pm. This is followed by refreshments and music. It is a wonderful opportunity for the whole family to start the coming week with God alongside, to celebrate Christ and to meet with friends.
Wednesday morning Prayer Meeting
Each Wednesday morning an online Prayer Meeting is held via Zoom where all are welcome to discuss the bible’s teachings and share the Christian faith. Please contact the office if you would like to join us.
Other services
There are also a number of other services held across the month across the parish, such as weddings, funerals, baptisms and school related services.
